Scope: Dormitory Renovation
At seven stories, Corlew Hall is among the tallest buildings on the Middle Tennessee State University Campus. The building is located near Business and Aerospace Building and the Keathley University Center.
At the University, the student-only residence shapes the freshmen experience by providing services specific to first-time students. The building features study areas, kitchens, laundry rooms, and lounge spaces on each floor. Dorm rooms are a mix of private, semi-private, and suite configurations. Tutoring centers, computer labs, and classrooms are also provided to promote interaction between students to shape an overall positive higher education experience. McCallie Dining Hall, one of the primary cafeterias on the campus, occupies space on the main level of Corlew Hall, as does a 24-hour help desk. This project upgraded the facility to meet ADA compliance. The modernization of exterior windows and roofs were also replaced as a result of this project.
